Folding@Home Contributions

Folding@Home logo

Back in 2009, we had some servers dedicated to the Folding@Home project. Folding@home is a distributed computing project started at Standford University. People from throughout the world download and run software to band together to make one of the largest supercomputers in the world. Every computer takes the project closer to their goals. Folding@home uses novel computational methods coupled to distributed computing, to simulate problems millions of times more challenging than previously achieved. For more information about the Folding@Home project, visit their website at folding.stanford.edu. In November 2011, we created a new group and will start contributing once more to the project. Our new Team ID is 212667 for any of those interested in contributing with us.

Project Bread - Walk for Hunger 2012

Project Bread Information

Since 2011, Ben Jen Online has been donating funds to support the Project Bread initiative. Last year, we raised over $2,500 in funding for the cause, and we hope to have similar successes this year. This year, we hope to raise a combined total of $10,000 for the Project Bread initiative. Click on the "Project Bread Information" link above to learn more about the Project.

As the state's leading antihunger organization, Project Bread is dedicated to alleviating, preventing, and ultimately ending hunger in Massachusetts. Established in 1969, The Walk for Hunger is the oldest continual pledge walk in the country. The Walk allows Project Bread to provide millions of dollars in privately donated funds to over 450 emergency food programs in 129 communities statewide each year. Project Bread also advocates systemic solutions that provide food for families in natural, everyday settings, such as schools, after-school programs, summer programs, community health centers, hospitals, and home care organizations.
